There was a collective gasp when Jimmy Garoppolo went down with what turned out to be a season ending ACL tear. But don’t worry, that handsome mug of his is just fine. That said, there’s a decent chance you’re looking for someone to fill a catalog model shaped void on your roster this week. The Read Option has you covered.
Geronimo Allison, WR – Green Bay
Owned in 34.3% of leagues
Allison has been one of Aaron Rodgers’ top targets early this season, recording 13 receptions for 209 yards over the first three weeks of the year. A dangerous deep threat, Allison is averaging 16 yards per catch and is blowing past anyone stuck with the unfortunate task of trying to cover him. With games against the Bills and Lions coming up, expect big things from Allison.
Andy Dalton, QB – Cincinnati
Owned in 28.6% of leagues
Poor Andy. Most known for being a playoff failure and the dictionary definition of “replacement level,” Dalton has actually had himself a damn fine career. And 2018 is proving to be no exception. Ranked 0th among QBs, Dalton is averaging over 18 points per game and is looking like he might be a viable starter with strong matchups on the horizon.
D/ST – Miami DOLPHINS
Owned in 22.7% of leagues
Who would have thought that after three weeks, Miami would be leading the AFC East at 3-0 with the Patriots looking like a good matchup for their defense?1 But that’s where we are and the Dolphins are a legitimately good defense. Look to add them to your roster and run with them for several weeks, especially when they’re matched up against their pathetic division mates in New York.
Calvin Ridley, WR – Atlanta
Owned in 41.1% of leagues
Ridley is on pace to be the best wide receiver of all time. Hyperbole? Maybe. But for the second week in a row, he’s owned in less than half of all leagues2 which is a flat out shame. Last week he grabbed seven catches for 146 yards and three TDs. Read that stat line again. There’s no way he’s flying under the radar this time around. If you’re able to nab him this week, consider yourself lucky because he won’t be available next week.
